Sunday School and Bell Tower Group

The children and young people in Calry are a vital part of our parish’s ministry. However, we need more leaders and helpers. Would you be prepared to become part of the Sunday School team, maybe to help with the youngest children, or to assist with Bell Tower Group (12-14s)? Anyone volunteering must be Garda vetted and do Safeguarding Trust training.

DRC

Owing to the fast changing military situation in eastern DRC a Zoom prayer gathering will take place on Thursday at 12 noon organised by CMS Ireland, CMS African and CMS Britain and various other agencies. If you would like to join in then register here: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/9RWQ3aBfQA-gSomhdBQGvg#/registration or use the QR code.

Accommodation

We have developed a very special link with some of the Ukrainian community in Sligo. Many have been told to look for alternative accommodation by 17th March. At the moment there don’t seem to be many options. However, help is at hand. Under the Irish Govt ARP scheme financial assistance is being given. Do you know of anyone who may have some spare accommodation (a granny annexe, a vacant property) they would be willing to rent out? Speak to Patrick.

Extra Prayer Points

  • young people and children
  • the bereaved
  • a new Dean for the Sligo Cathedral Group
  • our new Government led by Taoiseach Micheál Martin
  • the devastated lives and regions trying to recover from the fighting in Gaza, Lebanon and Israel
  • the new Trump Presidential administration in the United States
  • peace and stability in DRC

This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed…
