Men’s Walk on Friday 27 December

If you would like to join in a men and boys’ walk on Friday 27 we will meet at the church car park at 10.30 am and drive from there. Bring walking shoes and a coat.

Endurance

The Winter Downs 200 is a 200 mile trail run in the south of England. Runners have up to 96 hours to complete the course. Emma Stuart (Yvonne’s older daughter) was the first woman and second overall. She managed to complete the course in 50 hrs 50 minutes, just 30 minutes slower than the first male. She beat the course record of 63 hours 47 minutes for a previous women’s race. She had only 1 hour and 20 minutes sleep in total. Incredible!

There will be a gift swap shop, tea and coffee and mince-pies, facepainting and a sale of photographs of the late Alec Foley. All money raised will go towards funding place on the Oceans of Hope day sailing in July 25 for those who are living with MS. For details call 086 085 1385.
